Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems (steam, air and water distribution systems, etc.).

  • Field experience with HVAC systems - boiler, chillers, air-handlers, etc. – is desired.

  • Experience in estimating HVAC and other energy projects.

  • Experience in financial analysis of various energy projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully coordinate multiple projects and work with technical staff.

  • Ability to work in a cross functional team environment with extensive contact with clients and engineers.

  • Ability to work autonomously and independent with little oversight.

  • Proficient in MS office suite.

Position: Measure and Verification Engineer

Position Description:

Overview

An ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in application of facility energy saving strategies, statistical analysis, and have prior experience working in energy savings performance contracting. Participates as an active team member in developing of energy baselines, verifying energy saving and annual M&V reporting.  This role will require a candidate with strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities to address best practices in energy baseline development and energy consumption evaluation.  This individual must be self-motivated and able to work independently, and able to interface directly with energy savings project development engineers, project management installation team members, M&V engineers and clients.  Under guidance of senior M&V engineering team members, individual will be responsible for completing assigned tasks on time and within budget. Manages assigned work in a professional and timely manner. Perform other related duties as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the creation of high quality / high value performance reports that convey added value and analysis of cost reduction to contract specifications and/or guarantees (Options A, B, C, D) to the client. Responsibilities include the structure and grammar of the reports.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical customers, both internally and externally.
  • Understanding of Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) and International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP) concept and guiding principles

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other technical field & 2+ years of experience in HVAC, Performance Contracting, and/or energy efficiency field report writing, or 5+ years proven track record of performance in mechanical systems, facility operations & building systems
  • Strong statistical analysis and excellent interpersonal communication, analytical and sound business writing skills required. CEM in process, EIT preferred.

Position Description:

Overview

Energy Systems Group (ESG) is currently looking for a highly motivated professional to join our Federal team as a Development Engineer II, working virtually reporting to the Regional Engineering Manager.

The Federal Development Engineer II is the primary technical project developer with in an ESG Federal region. As the primary resource for technical expertise, Account Executives and Regional management count on Development Engineers to be responsible for understanding the technical needs and wants of a customer, then turning that information into accurate concrete solutions. 

Development Engineers may deal with technical issues that include but not limited to facility energy consumption analysis and reduction strategies, general capital improvements, and even large scale infrastructure projects. The Federal Development Engineer II is not only responsible for the technical strategies, but the costing of projects, forecasting energy reduction for a given solution, creating a plan to document an accurate and appropriate baseline and measure and verify the energy reductions forecasted, presentation of findings and solutions to customers and mangers, and to assist the delivery team to ensure smooth installations and achieve exceptional results for the customer.

Responsibilities

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Conducts in-depth site surveys to identify mechanical and operating inefficiencies within a facility; analyzes utility bills; analyzes financials; meets with contractors and provides technical solutions that are creative, economical and technically sound
  • Facilitate adequate communication among the internal team, sub-contractors, and customers by creating technical plans both written and schematic to convey solutions and risk
  • Performs energy savings calculations, operational savings calculations, life cycle cost analysis and feasibility analysis of recommendations and associated risks; provides an energy analysis and establishes guaranteed savings based on the measures proposed

Position: Senior Manager, Carbon & Energy

Position Description:
  • With input from Director, EHS, VP, Sustainability, Operations leaders and Carbon Council Leader and members develop a strategic framework and multi-year plan for achieving near and mid-term carbon emission and energy consumption reduction (Scope 1 and 2) targets, including identification and evaluation of multiple methods, e.g. conservation, technology upgrades, process improvements, green power purchase etc.
  • Develop and implement a program to deliver energy audits, assessments, project identification and implementation to achieve fulfillment of multi-year carbon emission and energy consumption reduction strategy.
  • Build strong relations with Operational leaders and their teams and provide ongoing guidance and support on energy consumption reduction and/or carbon mitigation opportunities; business case development and project implementation; development of site level energy management competencies; utility relations and other topics as needed.
  • Promote employee awareness of Legrand’s energy and carbon reduction goals and lead efforts to increase employee engagement in achievement of energy reduction targets.
  • Ensure LNCA has and consistently deploys a robust suite of tools to accurately report, analyze and forecast carbon emission scenarios.

The PSEG Long Island Demand Management Program (PSEG LI DMP) Inspector (referred to as "Field Engineer, Associate") is an entry level detail-oriented position that reports to the Manger: Program Planning and Design. The Inspector will be responsible to ensure that installed equipment is operational and performing as expected and is in compliance with the PSEG LI DMP rules/guides (post-inspection). The Inspector may also be responsible to ensure that existing equipment is operational and reflects inputs on customer/contractor project submittals (pre-inspection). The Associate Inspector will ensure timeliness and accuracy of inspections.

 

Responsibilities:

Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Job Description:

TRC is looking for an experienced program manager to manage a large commercial and industrial energy efficiency program(s). Job Overview

This position is responsible for providing expert technical support to utility client customers, trade allies and program subcontractors. In this role, the candidate will provide energy advice and technical services for the for Entergy Louisiana's Entergy Solutions Program. Entergy Solutions Louisiana is the state's energy efficiency program. Entergy Solutions is an incentive program available to all Entergy Louisiana electric customers that provides cash incentives to customers for making improvements to residential and commercial buildings that will reduce electricity usage. Targeted measures include: HVAC systems, lighting, building envelope, water heating, building automation systems, process, motors, ventilation, compressed air as well as other equipment and systems for energy efficiency and building comfort. This position is additionally responsible for directly managing customer projects from program introduction to post-installation verification activities to support businesses and residential customers, and working with program trade allies.

This position will be the lead engineer for the Entergy Louisiana's Entergy Solutions Program technical team and assist other technical staff with project reviews. There will be customer interaction to provide customers advice and recommendations on the technical solutions that best suit their needs. This position will review energy savings calculations for accuracy and compliance with program requirements.

Our role is to develop energy-savings programs that are vital in the marketplace for residential and business customers. This program is funded by utility clients whom we serve with equity to reduce energy use while providing an opportunity for equitable participation in the energy program.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Work with residential customers, business and building owners, developers, architects, engineers and contractors to provide energy efficiency advice and assistance for Entergy Louisiana's Entergy Solutions Program
  • Perform on-site inspections of properties
  • Identify and provide documentation of on-site opportunities for energy efficiency buildings under design and construction; provide follow-up as required to the customers
  • Participate in QA/QC and internal audit activities
  • Discuss technical elements of energy consuming equipment in residential, commercial & Industrial facilities (lighting, HVAC, hot water systems, envelope, integrated design, building automation systems, process, motors, ventilation, compressed air and other equipment) and how it affects utility consumption and demand, to help prioritize recommendations and achieve goals.
  • Review customer incentive applications for energy savings projects to ensure completion and accuracy, such as confirming detailed savings calculations.
  • Analyze customer utility bills; Enter data into spreadsheets and program database to determine energy savings and to manage current projects, collaborate with other Entergy Louisiana staff as required to maximize technical support to the programs customers.
  • Keep current on the latest energy-saving technology to provide program measure suggestions when appropriate.
  • Develop relationships with program participants including end customers, trades and partners to identify and address their needs from the Program to provide information and remove barriers to participation.
  • Develop and lead presentations promoting energy efficiency on behalf of the program at various conferences, community events, or professional organizations.
  • Provide assistance with customer service, collaborate with engineers regarding energy audits, post-installation inspections and project reporting.
    • Utilize program spreadsheets and databases to calculate energy savings for customers, engage with trade allies and contractors as needed.
    • Occasional day / overnight travel required.
    • Ensure compliance with all APTIM quality and safety policies as well as all OSHA regulations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
    • 1-4+ years' engineering experience related to mechanical design, energy modelling or construction; 2+ years' experience in the energy efficiency industry preferred.
    • Must be a self-starter, organized and have an ability to prioritize workload in a fast paced environment.
    • Ability to identify and resolve project application issues with customers and trade allies.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office, field auditing tools, CRM systems and tracking databases.
    • Understanding of financial concepts including project payback periods and return on investment.
