Position Overview:

Provides basic engineering services in the energy field to utilities, industrial customers, commercial customers, institutions, federal and state agencies, and other customers. The Motors and Drives Co-op position is entry level and requires proficient skills in areas that use engineering judgement. Work products or processes will always have oversight from engineer or field technologist.

 

Essential Functions:

Engineering Support

  • Provide hands on assistance in laboratory setting utilizing various hand tools and power tools
  • Support product testing and safely operate laboratory dynamometers
  • Schedule laboratory testing based on incoming shipments and coordinate outgoing shipments including proper packaging
  • Support facility reviews and studies or site assessments to locate opportunities for improvements in productivity, quality and efficiency
  • Adjust desk heights and rearrange office furniture
  • Support quality control, recommend solutions, define and interpret the importance of the implementation of corrective measures
  • Support design reviews including load calculations, energy performance analysis or design documentation
  • Provide hands on assistance in deploying new technologies in the field

The Information Systems (IS) Specialist II position is responsible for managing and maintaining our Microsoft 365 environment, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. Individual will provide hardware and software technical support and exceptional customer service to end- users as well as help users streamline processes using workflow.

Position Overview:

Advanced Energy provides independent engineering services for utility scale renewable energy resources connected to the distribution and transmission grids. This position will lead projects to provide consulting services and commissioning for renewable energy integration. 

 

The ideal candidate will have project management experience and some knowledge about renewables, the electric power industry, or transmission and distribution grids. This position will work in close collaboration with external stakeholders including utility clients, renewables developers, and subcontractors while also coordinating activities with internal engineering and other staff to deliver services.

Project Management

  • Develop and refine scope of work and take into account the client’s needs, budget and other resources
  • Develop and implement project plans, including strategies, milestones and tasks

About the job:
CAM Technologies is looking for an Assessment Engineer, ready to research, analyze, develop, and implement assessments to help deliver energy and cost-saving solutions for our customers. This role serves to identify opportunities for improvement within industrial compressed air systems, including quantifying energy savings opportunities, identifying production improvement opportunities, and documenting these opportunities in order to underscore the impact for our customers.

Responsibilities:
• Independently leads comprehensive (e.g. supply side and demand side), on-site compressed air system assessments at customer facilities
• Develops rapport and trust with customers to understand their needs, production requirements, and planned changes within their compressed air system
• Gathers required system data and information, including pressure, power, flow, and air quality, to properly baseline system performance
• Processes, analyzes data and conducts engineering calculations to accurately determine baseline system performance
• Identifies opportunities for efficiency and reliability improvements throughout the compressed air system
• Quantify savings and impact of associated opportunities identified during the assessment.
• Works with data logging equipment throughout the assessment process.
• Leverages assessment tools, instrumentation, and data to provide deliverables. This includes insertion of flow meters, pressure transmitters, current transmitters, power meters, and pressure dew point transmitters.
• Assembles assessment report based on findings and presents assessment findings to team and end clients.
• Works with project team to develop schematic design deliverables to execute on opportunities identified in assessment. This includes creating single line drawings, equipment schedules, piping diagrams, P&ID diagrams, synthesize solutions, and putting together preliminary solutions for our clients.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Real-world, hands-on experience executing supply and demand side compressed air assessments in an industrial environment, including planning, implementation, data analysis, and report generation.
• Has a flexible, practical, and objective approach to solving problems and uses strong, independent critical thinking skills.
• Ability to determine the best technical approach based on project, customer, and budget requirements.
• Ability to interpret and provide input on electrical drawings, P&ID diagrams, process flowcharts, etc.
• Familiarity with thermodynamic principles of air.

About This Opportunity

We are seeking an Energy Efficiency Project Engineer level I or IIThe Project Engineer (PE) assesses client operations and identifies opportunities for maximizing energy efficiency and performance in industrial systems. This role may involve exposure to clients at their site. This is a full-time, exempt position located within reasonable commute to Boise, Idaho, or Twin Falls, Idaho.
20% travel is anticipated for this role.  Travel is mostly day trips with occasional overnight trip.

Qualifications

Applicants for this role are required to have:

The Information Systems (IS) Specialist II position is responsible for managing and maintaining our Microsoft 365 environment, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. Advanced Energy provides independent engineering services for utility scale renewable energy resources connected to the distribution and transmission grids. This position will lead projects to provide consulting services and commissioning for renewable energy integration.

We are seeking an Energy Efficiency Project Engineer level I or IIThe Project Engineer (PE) assesses client operations and identifies opportunities for maximizing energy efficiency and performance in industrial systems.   • Provide advanced technical direction to other staff.
